Toast and Tonic, Excellent Restaurant in BKC

Bandra-Kurla Complex is a planned business district in Bandra, India. It is the most prominent commercial hub in Maharashtra after Mumbai’s Nariman Point and Cuffe Parade. This is where I stumbled upon Toast and Tonic Restaurant.

I adore a good gin-and-tonic. I’m in Mumbai for a couple days on business and came across Toast & Tonic as I searched for somewhere to eat.

Toast and Tonic is a well-run place (the friendly manager chatted us up to check on our satisfaction.) The food menu is extensive and delicious. Although the portion size is a little on the smaller side, the menu does cater to any eclectic palate.

TOAST AND TONIC EATS

A bread bowl came out first with garlic butter which was really good. The Spiced Shrimp and Feta Flatbread came out next. Tomato butter, spicy sambai, fennel and cilantro topped this flatbread and it was delicious. Finally, the Brick Chicken – Crisp skin, sweet potato puree, and vegetable stew. This dish was full of flavor.

DESSERT

The dessert selection at Toast and Tonic is awesome. I settled on the chocolate and hazelnut bar topped with toasted meringue spice milk ice cream. Wow! This was the perfect ending to a great meal.

DRINKS

Toast and Tonic has a great variety of exquisite, tasty gin based cocktails. I tried a few and each was distinct and really good.

OVERALL

I would return again without reservation. Excellent ambience, Service is top notch, this is one of the very few spots in Mumbai that plays great music while you eat.
